K MAG
I completed a three month internship at an independent Polish arts and culture magazine. I wrote articles on a variety of topics, including news features, exhibition announcements and fashion show reviews. I also had the opportunity to conduct live interviews, via the online platform zoom, with such artists like Jessie Ware and Ellie Goulding. Olga Anderson
A short-lasting internship at London-based fashion boutique, Olga Anderson, produced a series of articles about fashion in film and art. I wrote four articles in total, including two pieces on the history of pink in fashion: here and here, as well as one about purple in art and, my personal favourite, "Pretty in Pink: Movie Style," linked below.

Donald Wrye, 1978), about a figure skater who looses her eyesight, to The Danish Girl (dir. Tom Hooper, 2015), which addresses the topic of gender transition, the article recommends some fantastic films from across cinematic history.

English translation: "I'm Embarrassed to Walk Around with a Plastic Cup"
Summary: In line with the theme of this issue, the planet, this article addresses the daily use of plastic cups and the feelings associated with holding them in an increasingly environmentally-aware society. Drawing on personal experiences and observations of changes in what is seen as the "cool thing to do," the article maps the evolution of a new youth movement -- one that places importance on caring for the environment.

Summary: Written for the same online magazine. This article is more personal and delves into a problematic issue shared by many twenty-something year olds on the brink of adulthood -- the search for a permanent home (or in this case specifically a room of one's own). Looking back at the many rooms I have been lucky enough to call mine over the past 10 years, I present a more private side of myself, offering also a lighthearted analysis of the thoughts I often have as a result of not knowing where I will be in the near future. The conclusion of this article is to appreciate the present, make the most of your current space and know deep down inside that the day when you can hammer a nail into the wall of a property that truly belongs to you will definitely come -- and if it doesn't you won't have regrets that you were waiting for something that never happened, unable to bask in life to the fullest.

Summary: An article written in Polish for "Szajn" -- an online magazine targeted towards the female audience. The piece presents the biography of one of the most successful swimsuit designers of our time, the Canadian-born Rose Marie Reid. Drawing upon archives held at Brigham Young University and examples from the author's personal collection of vintage fashion, the article describes how the designer was able to establish her brand and achieve world-wide success. At a time when women held executive positions even less often than they do today, Reid's story is also a symbol of courage and breaking new ground.

OTR Review: Filmistaan in School VI
